Now thats cold! I can see where a nice EFM 520 would be just the ticket for such low temperatures!!!

Nothing close to that around here today. It hit about 50 for the high here today, and It's only supposed to go down to about 34 for the low.

Barely made it to 34* today low 20's this morning. Shop Stoker had maintained 50* overnite into the morning. Had it a perfect 63-65* within an hour.

In the house, same as always. Nothing new to report, going on 5yrs the Channing is still steady and reliable as hell.

Yes indeed. On a day like this, coal-fired heat is a real blessing. My house is 75 in the basement, 72 on the main floor, and 70 in the upstairs bedrooms. Heat is on, dishwasher and washing machine are running, and it is bath-time for the little guy...no sweat for the 520.

4 below zero here in Easton, Maine! Next year this time I WILL HAVE A COAL UNIT! :)

Gonna be idling the old Hitzer back for a couple days--40* right now--not looking at any cold till Wed. night, back into the 20's.

Weird weather...........huh guys? Snowing now and will probably turn to rain this afternoon. 40's the next few days.

Here in Olean, NY forecast is

Today - High 52
Mon 12/3 - High 56
Tue 12/4 - High 60 :shock:

Then Wed 12/5 down to 37 and after that a few days of mid 40's wow

Yeah, definitely messed up... New insert gets installed Monday and the next two days are supposed to be in the 60's... :x
