Didn't have the windowstats open but did have the front and backdoorstats open wide for a while. Got up to 58 here today but now it's all the way back down to 28 and dropping! The house is a balmy 75 and I'm loving it!

It is about 15F here, supposed to warm up during the night and then go down to zero tomorrow night. The lake will be steaming on Saturday morning, here is a picture from this Monday when it was -6F in the morning. Just looking at the picture makes me want to put a few more tons in the basement.

Got down to 5* last night here in Central PA. The wind was blowing like mad. I took some temp readings at full burn:

Outside: 5*
Basement: 77*
Upstairs: 75*
Rooms farthest from stove: 70*

Stove temp: 450*
Convection air temp upstairs: 225*
Stack temp after baro: 175*

Blue ladies were reaching the top of the stove. I think I have Frankenstove dialed-in pretty well.

It was around 9* here last night. My stove is in about its fourth day of burning, it has tended to clog up after several days as I learn how to keep it going. Still so much better than burning wood!!!! The wind was making this old building creak to the point I thought squirrels had a bowling match going on up inside the flat roof. I could hear ice crystals in the tall trees making an amazing sound. It was 75* in here last night, 66* when I woke up. Tended the stove and now the temp is creeping up and it's 17* outside.

Hi Guys,
I'm feeling pretty good about my Harman SF160 boiler right now. My 1st. and 2nd floors are holding easy at 70* which is where the wife likes it. I keep my office/man-cave at about 75* which is where i like it.

Boiler is keeping water at 170 to 180*
Stack temp. is around 125 to 150 *
Draft holds at .05
Baro pretty much stays wide open at these cold temps.

Its somewhere around 15* right now. Just finished snowblowing the driveway, it feels really good having the wind blow the snow back in your face.

i'm feeling like an old pro keeping the boiler stoked up. It just gets easier and easier. Love this coal heat!!!

Have a good day guys

The forecast high for today is 37, but it's 39 here right now. I'm letting the hand-fed go out and the stoker is set to heat DHW only, it's too warm in here. The hand-fed is in the dining room, I don't want to bake everyone at the dinner table. :!:
