Sweeeeet!! A PUNT GUN!! That'll fix ANY electronic problem I may have!
I heard back in the day they could take out an entire flock of ducks with one shot .... hence, why they're now banned ( at least in MA anyway .... surprised??? ) They'd mount it right in a sneak boat, on a swivel. That must've shook the hell out of that little boat!! Nowhere to run on the water - those boys had balls of steel.
I saw one of those in person up at the Shelburne Museum in VT this summer.

If it's the same as the one's I've seen at auctions they were used on river boats to discourage Pirates & Indians way back when most were flat bottom boats. You could sink most crafts way before they got in close enough to return fire.
