Thank you for this, I had to put my beloved Quincy down today and it is tearing me apart. 15 years together and loving to the end. With her last breath she put her head in my hands and was gone. My 12 year old girls have never known a time without her and they are really torn up. That makes it all the worse. I will think of this often, Ken

Very sorry for your loss. The grief you are feeling is the price of the love Quincy gave you for those 15 years.

Sorry to hear that NWB.

Really sucks especially at this time of the year.

Keep remembering the good times. Dig out some old photos. They help.

Rick

I will add this...for you to have the good fortune to have to experience to hold her as she passed. I one who has for one reason or another have pets put to sleep and never had the opportunity you had.

As much as it hurts, take solace in that she was held by her "dad" and not a sterile Vet's office with a needle.

So very sorry for you, yet kind of happy you could be there for her, as you should be as well.

Sorry to hear about this Ken. Sounds like she lived a good, long life, thanks to you. You did your job well. Time is a healer, as they say. Remember the good. ;)

For the 1st time in more than 20years I have no dog. Tonight at 6:14 pm as I held her in my arms she took her last breath. I will miss her deeply. This sucks.

So sorry for your loss C4C. I know the emptiness you are feeling. I had to put my boy down in February and he was only 6 and my girl a couple of weeks ago. We still have one girl left and she doesn't know what to do with herself after more then 2 weeks. They are family and it is never easy to say good bye even when it is for the best. This is tough again so sorry. Ken
