Another sucky day tale

You've All Come To The Right Place ! Everyone here has time for you. We've walked your path. Here,Real Men are allowed to cry like Children because of the Grief that's hard to put into words. Losing Unconditional Love, let alone The Family losing it,is hard stuff......Do the time.....Spend some time understanding why this hurts so damn much.....Then Honor it. When the time is right, you may just think of saving a Pup or a Cat from a miserable mess. They reflect what you've done for them, and what you've put in them. It's OK to be afraid or gunshy of Pain and Hurt. It sure as Hell 'aint OK to be afraid of Love.....Maybe I'm Nuts, but all my Pups and Cats from the past keep getting rolled right into the ones we've been Graced to have now. It's gonna be alright! Just a little Love from 'Ol Uncle Ham !

Sorry for both of your losses and hope you can bring yourself to get another puppy or two, because even though the old dogs were great companions and you'll always miss them, little puppies can bring a whole new dimension of life into your home. They won't replace the old friends and all those old memories, but they can brighten your next few years and make new memories. I have no idea why we put ourselves through this, knowing the pain that comes at the end of the journey, except that the love those little animals give us up until the end makes it worth it. Jerry

We actually had to put one down in February and then Quincy 23 weeks ago. We have one pup left who was low man in the pecking order so we are going to allow her some time to enjoy her position and getting all the attention. We will rescue another some day just not right now. Thanks for all the caring guys! Ken

I would like to thank you all for the kind words. I know her soul is in a better place and she is pain free and happy. I took her from the Vets office to the pet cemetery and will bring her ashes home on Tuesday. Thanks again.

My Turn...Happened Overnight Friday into Saturday Morning....Casey just didn't wake up. The Best Part was that She received the Gift of getting it on the Snooze. The Worst:I was out of Town....Felt like a Massive Worthless Turd for that one. I know,I didn't plan it,and couldn't control it,but it Truly did Suck. Had to ask one of my Fire & Rescue Friends help me by coming over to get her out of the house(Thanx,Jim). After a Long drive Home,my Wife and I buried her where she had started Life with my Wife and Daughters,by where the Old House stood. This is my first Night without that 85lb Black lab that I called the "Lumbering Oaf Dog" She made a hell of a Mutt and Jeff Team with our 11lb Chihuahua named Karli. We've got your back,CaseMeister,so Rest Easy, and Thanx for Everything, including not having us put you down....Good Dog,You Big Dumbo!

Sorry to hear that Bob. :( I'm certain she had one hell of a good life over there with you guys.

It's too bad our pets live life a few ticks faster than us. Their hearts beat faster, they breath faster, they RUN and play faster ... but all that makes them leave us faster.

But they LOVE faster too. That's the best part. You loved her back, and that's all they ask. :)

So sorry for your loss HB, it's hard to lose a family member like that.Glad that you didn't have to decide when she needed to go and better that she picked it herself. No matter when they leave you - it hurts.

Can't Thank You Enough,Gang! It has had me out of sorts since it happened. It should....When I talked to both of Our Daughters about it,I told them to not be afraid to Love. Sure,it really bites when You Lose A Loved One,whether Furry or Human. Love is Love,Loss is Loss. But,I gotta ask 'ya,could you imagine never having any of that Love in the first place??.....Nope ! Words Fail a lot of times, but Thanx to All Of You Furball Lovers,I know I'm Understood......Thanx for starting this Thread back in 2011,Rick386 !
