Looks like an old Warm Morning, Montgomery Wards, Sears, etc...they were all pretty similar back then.

Well the WMs are great stoves. If this is anything like a WM then it'll be a great buy. If you get it and don't like it then you can always re-sell it. Can you get any better photos?

You can't do any better than free. WM made stoves for Sears and sold them under the sears name. Go get it and bring it home, check things over good and if ok hook it up, try it you might like it! If not sell it or sell the parts off. There are lots of folks that have them and are looking for parts or even the whole stove to keep theirs going. Go get it and save it from the junk man!

The Locke stove company made that type stove under a whole lot of different names; Warm Morning, Sears, Ward, etc. If it looks like that one does chances are it was made by the Locke Stove company. What's the inside like? Does it have the 4 hollow corner fire bricks? If so there's your first clue. Lisa

I can get it tomorrow but unfortunately have to wait till after work. Once home with it I will post some pics. I do not know if the stove is sound. If it is, I wish I had 3 flues in the house in different locations , one for the chub, buderus and maybe this one. Who knows if this unit is any good I might put off the chub restore and install this one.

You're getting free stoves and all that I can find around here is junk wood stoves for a lot of money lol. Can't wait to see what you got!

Yeah, me too. Hopefully its not a basket case.I had taken apart the chubby today to get it ready for sandblasting this week. Nice thing is they are easy to break down. I had to lower setting on my buderus today temps were in 50's today crazy. That stove is very responsive to adjustments. Of course I might have to go for the full view door on the chub.

I have a couple WM's and they are terrific heat makers....18 hr burns (easily), very user friendly grates and a fair price brought them home.
I also have an old Glenwood #14 that will blow you out of a room or two, but the grate system is a little primative. My .02 says to go get it, check it out, and fire it up if you feel comfortable with it.
Don't worry about the other half!!!!!!! They have the "Can't see the forest, the damned trees are in the way!"syndrome most of the time.

Not all of them, but the Lions share........Not you Lisa!  :o

I hear ya, My wife is great, but when she hears something for nothing she always thinks its junk and that you are going to put it with the other junk lol. From the looks of the text picture I have the stove seems that it was cared for. Hopefully the weight of it wont kill me.

Check the condition first. If the grates are shot or body rusted out, forget it. It does not look like Warm Morning to me.
