Fred, why don't native americans eat pork ? It's has hooved feet just as a deer, buffalo  The deal with eating pork is the pig roots forward to eat, and a chicken just scratches around, so it's good luck to root forward into the new year by eating pork, and the kraut is just good with pork. Maybee we should eat fish, I never saw one swim backwards, only belly up

Is that what makes ummm so tasteeStill, is it the fact that native americans will only eat grazers, not scavengers ? Come to think of it, I remember seing a show on the discovery channel with the swamp people in the florida everglades, and the native americans were going to have a ferril pig roast. Is it just the northern folk are high class ? :funny:

YUP--today is a whole different game with hog farms & all, but, I know that out on the Rosebud Reservation in S.Dakota, they would eat a horse before a pig.I can't speak for the Seminole, but they are a whole strange story anyway, many run away slaves ended up in the everglades intermingling. A lot of the Seminole were Natives that had been shunned by thier own tribes. Who knows??? I'm pretty familiar with the Woodland & Plains Tribes.
