Can't Get Good Burn Time With Sub-Bit Coal
you won't get good performance out of smaller sized coal. The best coal you can get is a good KY lump; longer burntimes and more controlable heat. Either the appliance is undersized (the hot blast just isn't a great coalburner to begin with) or you have crappy coal. look for a good KY lump at a local mine or coalyard; there should be plenty of good stuff available in your area.
