I reload for the 8mm, im all set up and its alot cheaper to shoot now, im thinkin if i can find a gunsmith that will counter bore it back an inch it will be fine
The 8mm is a fine catridge, just be careful with handloading as you can hop them up past the ability of the action to handle it. Usually handloading manuals will warn of this and for good reason. I have seen them blown to bits and know of severe injury from over loading. Modern powder and new materials in modern firearms make for loads not even close to safe in even non military older firearms. The .257 Roberts is good example.
