Spread out over an acre of ground with hundreds of sash and just about anything else.

Millbrook NY. about 23 miles from me. I wanted to buy the urn on the stove but he wants to sell the stove as a garden ornament. Wound up buying several mantles for my Aladdin lamp.

That's a Stewart Oak.

Most of the antique places in Millerton are storefront places in town. Doesn't look like any of the places I'm familiar with, do you have a location?

What model of Aladdin Lamp do you have? I have 5 of them and use them all the time. If you need a source for replacement parts, let me know.

There was a place that specialized in items from torn down houses, some very high end. I have not been in that part of Stamford in awhile so don't know if it is still there.

I have a number 23 burner. I bought 2 mantles for $3 apiece. He also had wicks for model 21 which I did not think would fit. I only use the lamp when the electric goes out so probably don't need anything right now, but thanks very much for the offer and I will ask if my need changes.

Franco'
how much did they want for the Stewart Oak. And what is a fair price for a old base burner or parlor stove in decient shape.I have never seen an old stove just laying around outside, although since I fell in love with these antique stoves I have my eyes open now. I was given an old square looking antique stove last year stuffed in a barn while working, maybe I should get it out of there before it dissapears.I just love the look of those stoves.

Just for your information, the best burner made by Aladdin was the model, "C" burner. If you come across one at one of these shops, you should pick it up. I replaced two of my new model 23 burners with a model C. The other lamps I have are original ones from the early 30's.

He wanted $250 which is crazy since there is no bottom on the stove, also the rest of his prices are very low.
I have seen prices from 350 to 800 for stoves in good to excellent shape. There is a really great one in Vermont for $1300 but will take $1100, well worth it.

Dennis, do us a big favor: If you find a stove that you would like to buy, run it by us before you do. I want to make sure you get what you are really looking for with no unpleasant surprises.
