Transflow blower? There is a combustion blower for the under the coal and a Convection Blower to blow the heat out into the room. Usually they have a couple bolts on the flange to remove. sometimes not easy to get to.

Stan,

My Econo I convection fan has given me nothing but problems!! I brought it to a local business who specialize in motors...had it taken apart, cleaned and re-lubricated. It ran great for 3 weeks, then crapped out on me again. I just left a message for my dealer to order me a new one. I bought the stove used and it appears that the fan was still the original. My dealer estiamted the age of the stove to be about 5 years old. I hope the new one has a longer life!! Good luck.

This is a known problem.

Is there any insulation at all on the motor end?
