Well here it goes :o 12* last night wind chill -5*, howling winds of 30 to 40 mph ,mpd closed,baro set at .05.Stove temp 480* measured on top of the stove right behind hooper,stack temp was 175* above baro. house is 78* :D 3400 square foot ranch that includes the basement,could not be any more happer :up: bob

beats cutting wood.You can take that stuff and shove it :flush:

They sure are awesome stoves. It was 30° today with 30MPH winds made it feel like 17°. No baro but set on 3.5 the house was a comfy 71°. I love this stove.

This will also be our first year with the DS. We are very happy with it and although its 17 outside, we are still waiting to really open it up! Sure puts the heat out!

I will be reviewing the stove later once we had the chance to really crank it up..

Yes finally it got cold and the d.s machine was pumping out big heat stayed between 78 and 80 all night ,love it

What were your stove temps? It is 19° here right now, it is now 72° but I just turned the stove up. Laser just behind the Hopper door says 484°. The house was 71° all night with the stove idling around 440° and it was windy.

i had her set right at 4 on the damper would open at 350 to 375 and close at 450 475.it ran that way for 10 hrs.on 1 load of kentucky lump.
