My first full winter although I did get a couple of months practice in last year. The Harman insert has been chugging along since mid November on one match. :D Although it's been tough the last couple of days with temps in the low 60s. Doggone draft goes down to nothing and I have to throw in a handful of kindling to get a good draft reestablished. The wife was a little miffed at having to dust more ofter until I told her that I could let stove go out and we could go back using oil with the thermostat set at 62* vs having to dust 2x a week and having the house at 74*+. I haven't heard a word about it since. :D

I ran 2 coal stoves from 78 to 88 ( burned wood before that), could buy coal delivered in bulk then.

took a holiday from coal till 2008 (in 88 I put in a new FHW system when oil was cheap)

referb'd my old VC stoves in 08 when oil was going way up, and probably will be hauling coal in till I croak! (bagged coal now)

Year number two... This year lit the stove November 1st and it has not gone out. No oil used for heat this year so far. House is about 70*. I used to keep the house at 64* and use 800 gallons of oil. Warm wife= happy wife.
