It's called the Model:710 Energy Master II

Not their first stoker, but their first stoker with a flange collar and some jacketing for ducting away from the stove.

Here is a picture of the 710 Energy Master II. It has their other hot air furnaces on it to, but the 710 is on it.

Move over Keystone Koker, this Hitzer 710 is FULLY Jacketed, not just the back and top. The Koker only has single wall on the 2 sides and the front! No air wash there...just radiant.

Three furnace models, and new one is their first stoker fed furnace, other two, both long time products, are hand fed furnaces.

The Hitzer 710 does seem superior to the Koker from what I've read. Unfortunately the dealers here in Connecticut don't seem to know anything about the 710.

The price(s) I was quoted locally were $ 3,725.00 from one guy and $ 3,100.00 from another.

The 710 is a TRUE furnace, not a stove made into a furnace. Also, it seems that Leisure Line and Hitzer are leading the pack with innovative products. I am seeing research and development stagnation with some of the other manufacturers.

It hasn't been mentioned yet, but the 710 also has a built in filter box. I have a rough draft version of the brochure and the owners manual I've read through and it seems like a very impressive unit. I saw the test unit at the factory when I went out to pick our order up in October and talked with Dean about it. You guys have pretty much nailed all the high points on it. Runs on the Coal-Trol, fully jacketed, and built in air filter box. As of my last conversations with Dean (mid oct) they hadn't worked out an exact BTU figure, I'll have to see if they got there yet. I've been on them for some written info as I've got a couple customers interested for the next heating season. They have all the rough draft's done they're waiting on final editing then its off to print for both the final owner's manual and the brochure's for the dealers.

Does anyone know if Hitzer designed the 150k btu stoker in house? I'm not talking about the body of the furnace, just the cast iron stoker assembly. I'm curious if they are using someone else's stoker and designing the furnace themselves.

It is essentially the same principal and design as a Leisure Line feeder but Hitzer does build their own feeder, cast iron and all.

This looks like it will give the koker a run for it's money.

Koker does have a 1500 CFM and 240 LB hopper though...

Also, I believe the sides of the koker are double wall. Front an side single wall.

Wonder if it is as simple in design as the koker as well. I am a novice and have literally been able to tak my koker completly apart with no problems....something to be said about simplicity.

May look into this one for down the road for a new home!

According to an email that I just got back from Keystoker, the 105 and the Koker are only double-walled on the two sides. Apparently not the back and top as well?

Sorry, there was obviously some miscommunication involved here.

Without a doubt there are double walls from the blower located at the rear at floor level...up the entire rear of the stove and across the entire top of the stove. It can either exit horizontally out top front opening...or if that opening is blocked and the (11X19) opening is used...then heat exits vertically out that (11X19) opening.

It comes with an opening on the front (3 X 25) and an opening on the top (11X19) to distribute warm clean air into your home.

I'll reserve comment on the sides.

I also noticed that Leisure Line now also offers an optional cold-air box for the Anthrakings. Does anyone know if the Anthraking is double-walled like the 710 or just insulated on the sides?
