Keep posting! That's what this forum is for. WYN just wants you to read the old thread link as part of your learning curve and discussion on this thread.

Jeff, I'm pretty sure Dave was just referring you to some information that you may find useful...not implying you shoukdn't ask questions or post. This is a friendly group, feel free to ask questions and tell us more about your house/stove/recipes.

Jkabdoors, don't get upset so easy, most here don't mean anything for real besides that now you got me reminiscing about my younger days & remembering squeezing the starch out & adding onions, YUM.

Don't give up on us so quickly. I participate in a number of forums and this one is by far the friendliest, unless the topic is politics.

Looks like all have tried to no avail to get jkabdoors to post again except the person who was so quick to offer the curt post. Hard to think of a question that hasn't already been answered not only here but most other forums. Are we all limited to the search area? Sorry for the rant but if you can't give an intelligent and friendly answer then just keep quiet.

Most time that search box is a good start to IN GENERAL address a lot of things & then I know I've come back with more specific questions after reading through past posts. I don't think anyone was trying to be quick or curt. Just helpful. Just one old farmers thoughts. :)

To someone new it comes off as a curt answer.

I just happen to disagree. Maybe to you it seems curt. I was new here at one point & received suggestions similar to that. I found 90% of them to be real helpful.
