Good for close in home defense too. After my rat poisoning experience that I posted on the first page of this thread, I'm not in favor of shooting at them in the house. Too easy for a mortally wounded critter making it's way into some obscure crevice inside the house and outgasing for the next few months

I have used the CCI shot shells. Smear peanut butter on something outside your window view in good shooting range, then open the window when they stop for their last snack Opening or Walking out the door always scares them off.
