I will put some tobacco down for his release. The Great Mystery will take care of him and us. I am sorry for you and the family's loss.

Greg, sorry to hear about Brian. None of us come with warranties, but those left behind have to help pick up the pieces for our own sanity and that of the families affected. Thanks for being one of those guys for your good friend and his family.

We all feel the loss from afar. Too young, too good a person, life is not always fair, but we all go on, thank God! Doug

Greg,

So sorry to hear of the loss of your good friend. But also glad that you got to see him one more time before his passing.

You sir, were a good friend to him. My hat is off to you for that. And I'm sure that you will be helping his family through this tough time.

RIP Brian.

This is typed with eyes full of tears. Even though I feared you'd be writing of Brian's death, I was hoping and praying it would be months or years from now. You so did the right thing by going to see him. It's an oddly special privilege to see someone at a time like that. You know you are a close, special, dear friend to be wanted and accepted by the bedside. It's like for those few minutes you are more than friends, you are family. I dunno... closer than family... I can't find the words, is it as simple as "a family of friends"? I just know that even though Brian is gone, by being there you are now closer.
I'll pray that Tracie finds the strength to find her way forward. This may be one of the times that women are stronger than men.

May you rest in peace Brian. Even though your worldly journey has ended you will not be forgotten.

The funeral was today, tuesday the 21st.. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Brian's sister got up and spoke for about 10-15 minutes, giving us all a very personal, humorous and touching history of growing up with Brian.

I learned many things about Brian that I hadn't known,, Brian was a listener, not a talker. So I didn't know that his many brothers and sisters were
half siblings, some from his step father's family and his mother's. Brian's dad died when he was 4 or 5yrs old.. So when his mother remaried, he got three new brothers and sisters..
The sister that spoke was about 5 months younger than Brian, so they were in the same grades in school, and she had some very amusing stories to tell.

I'm very glad I went, I have even deeper respect for Brian than before..

Godspeed Brian, you are deeply, painfully missed.
