Does anybody have the DS Machine 1300 "mini circulator"? With the hopper, or without? How long have you had it, and are you happy with it? What is the most coal you have pushed through it in 24 hours?

I've got a DS-1600; it's quite a bit larger than the 1300 but it does have a hopper and in a 24 hour period I've put 30 pounds of nut at 400*. That's 15# of nut every 12 hours. I completely love my DS it was the best $1700 I've ever spent on heating equipment.

Any thoughts on whether it is better to order direct from DSM, or through a dealer? DSM does not offer any price break -- makes sense their dealers would be pretty PO'ed if the manufacturer was undercutting them. But it sounds like most dealers will just have DSM ship direct from the factory. (There are no dealers in my neck of the woods.)

I ordered directly from DSM. It was a lot easier to go through the manufacturer and tell them exactly what I was after instead of a dealer who wouldn't know if it was possible to do what I wanted.

You have to buy 25 stoves to get the discount...
I picked my Basement #4 up from Amos...
No dealers near me either...
Get what you want and how you want...
Was down in PA to see friends and picked up the stove...

That's how I did it. Called Amos up and drove 3 hours to get my stove. Was definitely well worth the drive.CapeCoaler wrote:You have to buy 25 stoves to get the discount...
