Help fixing Porcelain on Coal Fired Cook Stove

Help fixing Porcelain on Coal Fired Cook Stove

PostBy: ktm rider On: Mon Nov 19, 2007 2:35 pm

I finally found a wood/coal fired cook stove for the wife that is in decent shape. It has a porcelain oven door front that is chipped. I was wondering if anyone knows where or who to take this to for a quality repair job. (See link for pics.)
I just want the creme color porcelain chip fixed. the other chips give it some character and shows it is, in fact old.
The handles and the stove top are easily cleaned up. it is just light surface rust. But, this chip is a major sticking point as far as getting it fixed.

Thanks, I didn't buy it yet. i have to work for the next couple of days. I have been looking for one of these for 3-4 years now. Well actually my wife has.

I did call a porcelain tub refinisher, he is getting back with me. Keep the suggestions coming or who you guys know that could fix it for me ( before Christmas ) Thanks....

BTW, there is a piece of black stove pipe that goes up the middle, where the black marking is. The guy I'm buying it from ordered a new one and will have it on before i pick it up. That will make it look alot better.
