Hand Fed Coal Stove: Chubby Brickstone

Post by Chris02364 » Wed. Aug. 10, 2016 12:02 pm

I have one more thing to say and I promise I will shut up! :-)

I wrote a manual on the "Care and Feeding" of this type of stove. For example, I can clean her out completely in less than ten minutes. I can get her started on a cold weekend when we've been away and I need to get an updraft going through her back, around an elbow, and up the chimney with NO puff back. IF you own or buy a Brickstone, just email me at: [email protected] and I will send you my manual; written based on over 30 experience with this one stove. FREE!

I just send yet another response. I didn't see it posted. What I'd said was that I wrote a manual on the "Care and Feeding" of this nature of stove. For example, I can clean it out completely in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES, and more tips. I put in that you can email me if you buy or have this stove and I will send you the manual for free. I'd put in my own email and maybe that is a "no no," so this time, just let me know here and we will figure a way that I can send you an electronic copy! After over 30 years with this stove, let's just say I learned a thing or two about her!

Okay, now I will shut up and leave everyone alone! :-)

Chris

Alas, I sold the house with Bertha in it. I can supply only the photos I have already. I'm getting older and it was time to downsize. It was a bit funny though, as the potential buyers had asked for my previous years' oil bill. It was something like $400. They never asked about how many cords of wood Bertha ate. Besides, I had a large lot of land, well-treed. After each blew over or just fell down, and was left a bit to dry out, Bertha ate it. However, she liked junk mail best.

Question about the Brickstone Chubby.
Is it supposed to have gaskets on the doors? The Front Door, Side Door and ash drawer door?
I am looking at one and it does not have them, seems odd to me.

Pictures of the stove would go a long way in helping you to get the proper help you need.

Yep,
He can copy and paste a link to this thread if he wants, but likely best to start a new thread.

HoldenCoal,
I picked up the 2 stoves from Mike and Jean, were you the friend of theirs that was using one of them?
