I am stunned by the resolution, I had no idea we were that good photographically 70 years ago. Great content too - we all need something to rally around.

Dont know much about this but i'am told those pictures were kodachrome 35mm slides transfered to digatal and probaly tweaked some, who ever did them did a good job ! I very much like the picture towards the end of the two men sitting in the yardmasters office with the coal or woodstove. I'am a sucker for those type pictures !! :D

Different type of people back then, everyone would do whatever had to be done to help in the war effort, Now people wait for someone else to fight for them & call them fools for doing it while at the very same time taking advantage of what those & the ones before them fought for.
