An Old Friend Is Back

An Old Friend Is Back

PostBy: grizzly2 On: Wed Feb 22, 2012 9:14 pm

When I sold my old house last summer I posted here that I had kept my Hitzer and took it to my new home with me. The Jotul #3 woodstove I had used for 14 years in the house and 3 years in the garage went back into the house so as not to leave a blank hole in the ceiling and and empty hearth. When I met the buyers of my old house I told them if they decided they didn't want the little Jotul to give me a call and I would buy it from them. At the time they didn't have any idea what they were going to do. I got a call from them about two weeks ago, and I bought my old Jotul back. I also bought all the stainless insulated chimney they had taken out of the house and garage. So my old friend is sitting in my new garage waiting for instalation (in the garage) next summer. I am glad I didn't let it go. :D

Old stoves, old tractors, old tools can engender a certain fondness that not everyone can relate to, nevermind begin to understand.I hope there are no shrinks listening, because I am one of "them"and my head doesn't need work.I suspect I am not alone around this place. Glad you got your old friend back. Mike

If you've got to 'splain it to "Them"...Well,"They" just wont understand ! Thanx so much for sharing the story of the little, lost "Jotul That Could" and how it found it's way back Home ! :dancing:
