You have an efm 520 highboy. An easy switch back to coal. You"ll be happy when you make that move :D

The Hi-Boy recognition is an easy one! Front mounted DHW coil. Round door....because they didn't make any square doors until 1978ish. I have not seen that configuration before......what goes around, comes around. Remember, you can put any under-fed stoker you want in the burn chamber. Thanks for the pics and good luck.

It's also recommended to take out the connection on the right of the DHW coil, and resolder it before it causes any more damage

It is a "late model" Highboy. The year should be stamped on the plate above the fire viewing door...not that it matters much. Get your self a stoker and get it back in the black!

Not all of the Highboys had round doors. Some of them had square doors mounted on removable rectangular access/cleanout panels. The square door in the pic is not the original, but it covers the original opening in the original panel.

It is my understanding that round doors were used on the last year or two of production, roughly '53-'54...that is why I said it is a "late model". Perhaps there are exceptions.
