Who's still in the one match club?

I'm still in...thanks to Pea coal..I haven't been blasted out during this past heat wave. Pea just burns so slow and low temped. My nights get cool even when temps got into the 80's nights cool down fast with the sun gone. So I kept it going knowing it was going to get back to normal temps.
Snowed all day here and now temps are 24 deg.F. It'll be cool here all week so I'm making it into April again it seems.

I'm still in. Ha.. It gets cold here nights in the mountains at 1200 ft elevation and near the 45th parallel.I've been neglecting it big time and it's still hanging in like those in ground coal fires down in PA. smoldering away. I got some warm days coming (2) then back to raw seasonal temps so I'll have to get it back up to snuff today.

You & me both my friend. Still Idling the 50-93. 80 for a couple days then back to 40--50's. Still got about a half ton from my original 3 ton. Picked up 25 bags of Santa NUT for next years stash. Opened 2 bags & was real pleased with quality.

I am not! :( I shut mine down during a warm/hot snap that the Northeast experienced a while back. Hit the 80's. So I killed it to save coal. Cranked it back up when the weather was back into the 50"s. Just killed it again- going to be 85+ tomorrow. I think I am done for the season. Time to clean it out until next year.

Keystoker 90 is sleeping in the basement family room, warming the garage "Man Cave" tonite at 72 degrees. Fan to upstairs is off using our "window stats" which to my surprise my bride of 32 years was bragging to the neighbor that we where just opening windows to get comfortable. I love her, she surprises me from time to time. Yesterday she picked up a snake when doing her gardens, and screamed like a young girl :!: My buddy next door was painting a bedroom and was impressed as well. I was next door with another buddy thinking the guy across the steet had some young visitors . She surprises me from time to time. Trust me I do not impress her nearly as much

I'm all done & cleaned out. Still haven't got around to counting my bag corners yet. Coils have been wire wheeled & coated in Cosmoline, inside the stove got the used motor oil treatment, while the outside got Cosmoline as well. Grates, doors, & connector pipe are all hangin out in the living room (where it's dry) until next season. 8-) I even cleaned my chimney! :o

1 match? HA! One a week maybe .... After a few drinks, motivation to tend to the stove goes to ZERO. Let her go over 30 hours quite a few times. No saving the fire at that stage of the game. :flush: :D

Yep, I fibbed. Topped off the 50-93 for the last time this AM--probably take 3 days or so to die & then we do the old spring clean out--I'm w/ SMITTY with that used motor oil on everything. Think I'll hi-temp rustoleum the outside this year.
