If it were high volume, they'd used SPC like the class I took where I saw this video.
I made anti lock brake parts while in college at a rate of 6000-7000 pieces per machine. We ran two machines each, two 12 hr shifts per day. Six days a week.
Want to know how many times I saw a lot of rejected parts thrown into a pile of good parts, one handful at a time?
