Yep! It was nearing 12" high, so I filled up the gas tank on the lawnmower, started it up, and mowed and sweated in the hot sun.

Amazing year....

Even here it is amazing, and we aren't mowing any grass yet. ;)

I've not mowed yet but this is the week I'm putting my new seeds in for my continuing battle to get grass to grow outback. Take care, Lisa

Good idea Lisa. I scattered some seed last spring and it really took off. I quit buying the fancy seed and just bought a bag of "conservation mix".

Oh No!!!

Way east of here, in Bergen county near Route 80 I saw the willow trees sprouting leaves.

I never removed the deck from the tractor, never installed the front blade, never installed the tire chains.

Still another 6 weeks before mowing happens anywhere around these parts. Might be 4 weeks due to the weather, but not sooner than that. That;s fine with me - the J/D needs loads of maintenance I don't have time for right now ...

I fired up my lawn mower yesterday, made a few passes up and down the lawn for about 10 minutes mulching the left over leaves and my wife came out and said that she was calling the MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC to come and get me.

I heard the same thing when my wife saw me putting chlorine in the pool. Mid-March and the pool is turning green!!?? No sense letting it get out of control. A little shock and the chlorine floater will keep it in check.
