I am sooo happy that as winter approaches and the vast majority of NYS needs to drive with the heater on until about May that more left wing lunies spent my tax bucks on this c rap. Oh you mean that when I am driving my Volt in the cold the engine must be on for the heater to work???? Err, that means I am doing 30MPG at best for most of the year. I've issued a challenge to this individual to show us some of this, "superior thinking." I asked if he could state a thesis point and prove with a standard 3 point argument, something that any 10th grader could do back in the bad old days. So far no response. I'm waiting to see some of this deep thinking so I can be impressed. Still waiting.

How the electric car will come to pass.

The horse and buggy industry was doing fine, new lighter wheels were being invented, buggies had better stability, horses were being bred that had more stamina and then came along the ICE. Of course, all the pundits were saying this fad would never last. Why ride in a car doing 4MPH when a galloping horse can do 35MPH and all it needed was hay and that gasoline stuff was very difficult to source. The early cars were just too expensive but the oil companies saw a market and Henry Ford saw an opportunity and that was all she wrote as they say.

Electric cars tried to usurp this new comer but for all the same reasons as is now evident - failed. The Stanley Steamer was a damned good car but tended to explode killing the occupants and was very expensive. Of course dangerous ICE cars never suffered by being dangerous to drive and the main problem has it just took WAY to long to get up a good head of steam and refills were an issue. That was the killer.

The electric car will one day win but we half wits know (we are not super intelligent liberal elites that know better) that the problem is we can't store electricity efficiently and despite well over 100 years of R&D that problem continues to bedevil us. Of course, one day we will solve that one and the electric car will win on it's merits and not because some Ph.D. half wit in the DOE and an even dumber President tries to force it on us. There is competition in many forms - compressed air car, water cars, LENR and God knows what else. Gas has gone from 5c to $4 and may go to $40 a gallon it will not matter.
When I can buy a $20,000 car (in todays dollar) that does 102MPG (latest Volt claim) that I can drive 200 miles and will fill up in seconds I will buy. It does not need $10,000 rebates and God knows what else to force the issue. Those liberal half wits have worked that out now but not before we have wasted a fortune.

Keep it comin' Coalnewbie. The libs won't listen, but it's good to know conservatives are speaking up. What is plain as day to us is impossible for them to see; or if they do see; they can never admit any wrong. Hence the deflection and denial.

I heard 8% of the O administration has any experience in business. The rest; liberal elites as you say. Steven Chu typical example. Surely a genius in some narrow corridor of academia; commons sense and guts and patriotism completely missing from that guy's organic gene pool.

I worked personally for a Harvard Economics Professor this summer. Sweet, gentle lady; with absolutely no common sense or real world experience. Obama fan of course. Same narrow corridor of extreme intelligence.

There's another Solyndra starting up on tax dollars. Similar name like Solo- something. Making expensive thin panel devices while the Chinese simultaneously corner the world market at a much lower price. If you look at a pic of the bankrupt Solyndra building, you will see no expense was spared on the outside. Hundreds of utitilitarian warehouses sit vacant and they build a top of the line facility. Why not? Free money no incentive to succeed.

It's called a Superiority Complex and shrinks learn about it but it is very hard to treat. We have two generations of these kids/adults littering the social scene as despite coming in nearly bottom of the class they were told they were honor students. The only cure is a lifetime of failure and then they teach their kids differently. Trouble is the current nanny govt perpetuates the issue ("I'm entitled you see").
