As I was sitting in my family room overlooking the swamp this morning I got to thinking - Virginia in the spring is a beautiful place to be- even if it is only mid March. The cicadas were singing their song and there are an increasing number of song birds everyday. The woodpeckers are out. I will put out my humming bird feeders within the next day or two in anticipation of their return. The flowering pears and mock cherries are absolutely gorgeous as they bring color back to the bland scenery of winter.
Alas this too will pass and many will find Virginia a good place to be from when all the pollen and spring storms truly kick in to make our lives miserable. Those are the days of pollen so deep you can write messages on the car windows in it. That’s when we have to close up the house and turn on the AC in order to fight "seasonable" allergies. But for right now, it’s time to get out and enjoy the beautiful world around us. I hope you have a great day where ever you are. Lisa
