Gad zooks! Records have been kept since 1925 and we have never hit 80 degrees in March... EVER. It looks like today is the day! Maybe tomorrow too. Crazyness! So... iced coffee will be available from 75 degrees on. Enjoy!

Thanx Freddy, just back from barn chores & I definitly needed that. Have a good day all. Marathon Maple Festival this week-end. Exit 9 off Rt 81. Well worth the visit if you're in the area.
HA! Yeah, time to add ice to your morning coffee. Or another cold beverage
Enjoy it Freddy, and make the best of it.
Summer started about 2 weeks ago. The Daffodils have already bloomed and are dying back. All other flowers are coming in now. We are going to have a "Cold Spell" next monday. Its not supposed to get warmer than 69f
The wife is planting the garden...

I had the windows open all day yesterday! It was sure nice to get some fresh air in the house, and it was a cozy 73 inside when I went to bed so I left a few windows open. I woke up this morning and discovered the house had cooled down enough to make the heat kick on. Oh well, I guess I'm doing my part to make the flowers bloom.

Fred.....nice to see the spring flowers, but it is only 03-21-2012.......Time will tell, but we are having some unusual weather..... Saddle sores today? Trigger take the trip over the mountain and back? How do you keep your back painfree.....You must have some 'Marine Tough' chip installed. My back hurts just thinking about it. 80 here today.....then back to the 40's. Iced tea for me, you can have a coffee!
Hey, don't even whisper about shutting down yet....it is NOT over, buddy! Ice is not out at all the lakes yet, but the snow is gone except North facing surfaces. Saw lawn crews out today! WTF!

I got it figured out....yesterday & today ARE summer 2012, so, pay attention and enjoy it while it's here! My soothsayer is predicting some people using the 2012 match within 2 weeks! If this were to come true it will have been the first summer ever with no mosquitoes or black flies. Heeheeee!
Ohhh... I think the heat is getting to me.
Fred, thank for the pictures!

Yeah, it was 84* yesterday, down to 55* last night,, forcast for another mid 80's day today, but cooling down over the weekend and next week.
It isn't May YET !! we have at least another month of potential winter weather..
Freddy, thanks for the iced coffee, I'm still drinking the stuff hot.. in the morning..
The Bradford pear trees are leafing out.. as well as most of the Maples, the Acer Rubrums.. the ones with green leaves but flaming red leaves in the fall..
And the 'weeping' cherry trees too.. budding out..
I just hope we don't get a surprise hard freeze. the Apples, Cheeries, pear trees will all suffer badly and the crop be small or nonexistant.
our suffering Michigan economy needs all the good luck it can get.

Fires been out here for a few weeks, but will be firing up probably sunday, some cold is coming back for next week. Been in high 70's past week, and no rain to speak of for past 3 weeks. Gees I hope what texas had last year isn't heading this way.
