More flexibility to do what? Unilaterally disarm our warheads so Putin will give him an attaboy? Give Russia our nuclear secrets? Do additional end runs on Congress and sign a bunch more Executive Orders into law? Get the civilian force that is to be just as powerful and just as well funded as the military going? Why is he so in need of having Putin hear this secret off the records (he thought) message? Is he Putin's sock puppet?

Perhaps he still remembers this strong Russian message. There is not much subliminal about this.

Just one more opportunity for the liberals or progressives to defend the indefensible. This clearly meets the standard of Article II Section 4 of the Constitution for removal of the President from office through "impeachment and conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

What's Boehner going to do? The Republicans control the House for pete's sake; they are the ones to bring forth charges of impeachment. Then the Senate has to hold the trial. What's stopping them?

More flexibility to give Putin what he wants is how I read this. Lisa, I think you are on to something here!

How arrogant do you have to be to make that statement. I know that's how he got elected in the first place, that I can fix everything attitude,(that really can'nt fix anything, just screw it up more for the next generation attitude). Allways said take the teleprompter away and see how smart he really sounds. He needs replaced! :flush: Does he think the american people are that dumb to re-elect him? :o

The man made a perfectly begnine statement. A statment that is quite obvious to any normal thinking mind.

I can't understand how your tiny minds work to turn that simple statement into something sinister. let alone something impeachable.

Please tell me what law is it that you imagine he is guilty of breaching?

I think this is the fifth or sixth time that the same ones have called for his obvious impeachment, the trouble with that is they & others like them along with the normal talking heads are the only one's whose interpretation of the laws make it so. They must somehow believe that their fellow Dem's & t-tards are too dumb to see it, if it were truuue he would be long gone. Other than that it's not much worth commenting on, just a drowning bunch grasping for a straw.

What a joke! Hey Sam why don't you explain how or why this ok. Address the issue of what he said and tell us why it's not an impeachable offense. Au contarie, there is plenty to comment on here. You've defended the indefensible so often what makes this time any different? Could it be you've reached the end of the line with him? I guess your response will tell us all we need to know.

Hey.... you know me.... I stay right the heck out of political stuff, but I gotta tell you.... I'm not impressed with what Obama said. How could it be taken as anything good? Sinister might be a bit of a strong word, but I don't see any other word that fits. I think most people will see this as Obama saying "I can't get away with it (whatever "it" is) now, but once I'm re-elected I can do whatever the heck I want". And he as much as said "If I do "it" now it will cost me the election, but once I'm re-elected I won't have to sneak around because they can't un-elect me". I'm not impressed. If "it" would cost him the election, it SHOULD cost him the election.

Freddy, I agree. I've been trying to stay away from the politcial threads also but this is just too blatant. It's a disgrace. Besides the president admitting to the world that he could not get re-elected if he caves to the will of Russia, how do you think the brave people of Poland feel? They are being sold down the river! Sam, don't even bother trying to defend this. It's indefencible. I don't know if it rises to the level of impeachment. I'm not a constitutional lawyer. But it certainly rises to the level of send him back to Chicago!

For the record, failure to uphold one's oath is a crime known as perjury and as Bill Clinton knows, that is an impeachable offense.

While his comments don't necessarily violate his oath, there are about a million other things that do. :)

His comments just show the real Obama.

I don't think there should be a US missile shield in Europe, but if I was POTUS, I'd be man enough to tell the people and let them decide if I should be re-elected.

And if he's going to bait and switch us on this, what else does he have up his sleeve?
