Well, I thought I would point that out to him Fred. I did serve in the Navy aboard the submarine USS Hartford for six years and ship design proposals at Gibbs & Cox. So, I thought I would point out the false and misleading statements and images from that video.

I thought it was just entertainment showing some pretty neat ships & planes. What pix/parts were and, or misleading statements did I miss? PS I was on the Saratoga for the tail end of a Med cruise--had to kill 5 1/2 months after 2 tours in the Nam.

You only have to remember back to the Falkland Island war in 1982 to realize what will happen to the Iranian Navy when war breaks out in about 8 weeks. The British sunk the Argentine cruiser General Belgrano using a submarine. The tiny and completely defenseless Iranian ships and the three Kilo class subs will be sunk immediately to protect the airctaft carriers from a surprise attack. American submarines are everywhere, just waiting off the coast of China, Russia, Iran and elsewhere.

Heck I just thought they were great pictures, can't afford to go to the big city & a picture show. Guess they wanted to get me to V.N. faster, flew from Ft. Lewis to Japan just long enough to change to a military crew & landed in Camron Bay A few hr.s later, coming back it was direct flight with the tail winds. Closest I ever got to a ship was giving co-ordinance to the New Jersey, never did see the ship just heard & felt the kaboom.

thanks for ur service samhill the new jersey took a few hundred feet off the top of a mountain at vinh just north of the dmz.. sorry to see that power house go.. and to freetown fred thanks thats exactly how this fellow hitzer owmer feels..

USN- big, gray, and in harms way- Go Navy! The tv/movie stuff aside, the fleet is impressive.
