Do we have a winner? Oh yes, we do.... we are all winners because we work hard & keep our families warm. Come in, the coffee is hot and it's going to be a beautiful weekend. I see the waffle iron on the sideboard and it's time for some fresh maple syrup & bacon. Join us...the waffles won't stop & I know where there's more bacon. I see much of the viewing area is well into Spring. We had a few warm days, but this week was freezing nights & barely 40 days. Right now it's 17! So, yes, the Axeman Anderson jogs on. My bin is down enough so once a week I have to rake for 5 seconds....all this work...it's gettin' to me. ;) I'll tell ya, people that say coal is a lot of work have never burned wood.

Looks to be a wild ride this summer. My cousin is in need of (a job and) a place to live. It looks like we may be once again building on this property. We're not quite sure where or what, but within a few months she will probably be living within a hundred feet or so. On top of that, 14 years ago we split our land, owner financed and sold 3 acres and a mobile home to "Joe". He's been a good neighbor, but for 1,000 reasons, it looks like we may get that land back. That is, we will buy him out so he can get married and go buy a house. No, my cousin can't afford the place, but my nephew might LOL. Care to get on the merry go round with us? Gonna be a ride to remember!

Take care, have a good weekend and don't forget to hug the ones you love.

Good morning. I just checked my Mega Millions tickets, looks like I better keep my work boots around...no luck this time. Oh well, at least the house is warm and the coffee is hot! :D

31 degrees at my house, and no wind (for a change). Time to feed the dogs and go get the paper. Take care everyone.

Picked up a back blade for $50.00, still lookin for that bush hog. I'll pass on that merry go round, I've still got a parcel set aside for SMITTY, but he can't convince the wife. toothy Poor Rob is back to drivin his old beater car now that the navigator is sold--woe is all of us. :verycool: Have a good week end all.

Thanks for reminding me. :cry2: Oh well, it was time to move on and the guy that bought it sounds like a nice guy. It should make him a nice rig...probably the only 80,000 mile Navigator he will find with $300 worth of synthetic lube installed. My wife and I purchased it five years ago, and it has been an awesome vehicle. I know Smitty hates all the electronics, but the only trouble it gave me was the factory radio died. I thought about keeping the vanity plates for my Ford truck, but they just don't look the same on a white truck as a Black Navigator. I will miss the nasty looks from the Hybrid drivers at the local gas station. :D

In the 30s here this AM hot coffee sounds good, seems like every time I make a little space in the garage someone brings me a load of stuff to store. My job today will be finding a spot for everything, looks like I'm going to have to sell some of my junk to make room for others. Hope everyone has a safe warm day & we get plenty more $3 winners & hopefully more.

Woe is me! I cashed in all of my 401k and IRA to buy lottery tickets and won nothing. This morning I am a broken man. You would think with over 500 chances to win you would have to have the winning ticket. It must be rigged I tell ya. I am left to live out my years on a diet of dried beans, bullion cubes and soda crackers; maybe I’ll get a loaf of bread for Easter if I can afford it.

Thunderstorms last night, cool and drizzle this morning. Reading Anthracite decided to postpone for two weeks so we’ll see how the weather is then. The weatherman says it may be dry this after but chance of more showers tomorrow. I got in earlier than expected yesterday and got the garden tilled so I am all set to plant. Everyone remember to plant on schedule, don’t be fooled by Mother Nature, she is a deceiving bitch. She fooled all the stone fruit around here and the price may end up being little to no peaches or plums, etc. I just want to put the onions and radishes and carrots in followed soon by cabbage and lettuce, I’ll wait a month for the tender plants.

Time to get moving, things to do…Have a good weekend.

Mega-Morning everyone. Good coffee. I needed that after last night's thunderstorms. Rained Cats & Dogs all night and gave me a heck of headache. Very warm out, I doubt it got cooler than 70 last night.

Time to check the lottery tickets.....

No winner here either. at least not a lottery winner. The weather is overcast and 34*, not too bad, no wind..

Waffles sound great !! I may have to have a few..

Freddy, you are going to have quite the family compound there!!

I'd suggest a trailer, if you think the lodging situation is going to be temporary. you can buy mobile homes for a fraction of building one. Unless
you can't stand the appearance or the lack of quality in a mobile home.

Lots on 'the list' today and tomorrow. I guess I'd better get to it..

By the way, my fellow pilot who was in the news this week, is getting great care from the company and his family,
The person you see on the Utube videos is NOT the man I know.. not even close.. so he must have had some medical 'break with reality' or stroke or ???
Lets all keep Clayton in our prayers.. he has a really tough road ahead of him.

Code enforcement told me I ca have a "family trailer park". As long as they are blood relatives I can line trailers across the back field. Yaaaa... I don't think so, but we do have heart for nephew & cousin. We do give as we can to those that deserve it. On the other hand we won't put up with laziness or bad habits. My cousins drunkard brother phoned us a year and a half ago asking saying he had been evicted and was on his way from New York. "Can you pick me up at the bus station and give me a bed for a few weeks or can you take me to a homeless shelter?" Ya know.... we took him to the "get straight" homeless shelter. We did have a long talk with him. We told him to get straight & he'd be a welcome part of the family & we are happy to share. He was all excited...gonna get clean, glad to be here. And.... within a few weeks he refused to talk to us. ("You invited me and rejected me") None of us has seen nor heard from him in over a year..... similar the the 15 years before that when we had not heard from him. *sigh*

Good morning, sorry to report I will have to continue working for a living. No winning tickets in my family. I only spent $5 on tickets, it only takes one to win. I am not a big gambler but play some sort of lottery game once in a while just for the fun of it.

A dreary rainy day here in western NY. But that is Ok because I am stuck inside. Another weekend of book study for a upcomming professional exam on April 13, (friday the 13th no less) I should have gone for years ago.

The AA is just coasting along keeping the workshop office and house warm. I don't know why I call it a work shop. It is really a "play" shop.

Nothing here in our pool at work (a couple numbers on a few games) or my own tickets (no numbers at all!)

I see on the news, 3 winners, Maryland, Illinois and Kansas? I think. NONE in NY :(
