Here is a cut away view of sorts. This is what makes the Anthrakings so efficient. Lots of surface area to gather the heat in a small package. The 1800 cfm blower blows the air through these tubes scrubbing all the heat it can .

Dave and Matt,

The Anthrakings are really a leap forward in engineering from Leisure Line. The vertical tube furnace design is efficient, as long as the tubes are kept free of fly ash, and I hope that idea trickles down to other products.

What we have found because of the tubes the way they are oriented allows very little fly ash to collect. It ends up with very very little lost in efficiency if any. Our 220 prototype has almost 30 ton of coal through it now . The only area that gets cleaned is the pipe and outlet. The coal exhaust does not pass through the tubes just around them with the diffuser installed it is very turbulent inside the furnace causing most ash to fall.

I know the 2 tubes that go thru the firebox on my LL Hyfire and exit the front, A LOT of heat comes out of them.
When I created my heat jacket, I made sure to include them and open them up for max. heat transfer.

All I can say is the Anthrakings exceeded everything I had hoped for. ( by a LOT ) . Its been a lot of work and time but the people who own them and give me feedback on how much they they love them make it all worth while. When we bought this business I thought I had an idea what it takes to develop a new product turns out I wasn't even close. :D But it has been fun.
