Rick Santorum Suspends Campaign

I really took a liking to Rick after watching him give a speech before he announced his presidential campaign last June.

Sad day, unfortunate, and I do have to blame Newt for part of this. Had he dropped out last week, a deal could have been struck between Newt's delegates and the Santorum campaign.

You know, Santorum has so much family stuff on his plate, that I'm dissappointed he didn't pull out sooner. I pray for that daughter of his. That said, what does suspended mean, somebody wanna help me with that one??? Romney, fortunatly or unfortunatly has been a shoe in all along in my opinion. You can't go up against that kind of money in this Country--which I think is pathetic-- BUT--I just hope to God that Romney gets BO out of the White House & gets this Country back on track. If we as a Nation do not get behind this man, we will be in more serious trouble then we already are. Also, if Santorum does not back Romney, it will be a sad day in the good old USA. As far as Paul & Gingridge--just my opinion--they are both pathetic. Sorry people, just an old farmers thoughts.

As to the pathetic candidates, is it their principles and policies that are pathetic, or is it the individuals themselves that are pathetic?

It means he can continue to collect money and maintain control of his delegates, if you drop out you lose those things.

In other words he wants to be VP. Romney will have to bargain with him for the delegates and he can still raise money to pay of campaign debts.

I think that from all the feedback Santorum's people were getting it was very unlikely that he would have done well in Pa.. He screwed over his so called home town real well as Senator & the people in S.W. Pa. haven't forgotten about that yet.

He will lose some of the delegates due to party rules. Romney doesn't need any of Santorum's delegates, he would have enough to seal the deal even if Santorum stays in. The reason he bailed would be that losing to Romney in his home state of PA would finish his political career, now and in the future.

It's about the old addage,"if you can't dazzle them w/ your brilliance, baffle them with your bullshit" they all do it, but my point is, get behind the obvious victor in all this & be supportive. If anyboby has concerns & thoughts on what he needs to do, contact him. Romney will be going up against obama!

It really doesn't make a damn bit of difference. He's the man. Now do what you can to be heard by HIM. If your not part of the solution, you are surely part of the problem--and God knows we are innundated with them.

That is what this country needs, a thinker with big ideas. Plus I like that he is a historian by trade. I tend to like anything old. Which I guess is why I like burning COAL!

I agree 100%--BUT--the man has so much baggage that is public knowledge--I gotta wonder what kinda stuff isn't public--that has been his down fall from the git-go.

But with President Clinton the rallying cry was that his private life is one thing and his policies are another. No degree of baggage was of any concern. Ditto with the birth certificate baggage, the socialist baggage (Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky), etc... for President Obama. It will not matter.

The entire socialist baggage issue in fact was just lifted from the shoulders of President Obama (whether or not it might have mattered) by the Republican crowning of their own socialist candidate.
