Most of the casting numbers are 1868. I think Pierre's Sunny is 1874.

Congrats on a great Find, Paulie. If it turns out to be as good as Norcan's, it'll be stunning !!!!! ;)

Thanks Paul ! The wife mentioned that my son was over measuring it this morning, so my guess is he already has it claimed.

Pierre, Did your Sunny have the small finial caps on top of the two side columns?
The one on the left side of mine swings out and has a humidifier tray attached.

Hi Paulie. sorry for the late answer, too busy on watching the US candidats....
You got the Saint- Graaal of the Sunnyside :o , it was probably the model before mine and some parts are about the same while some aren't like the double windows. Mine is 1874 and I was sure it was the only one around the world but you found the brother of mine !
I don't have the parts going on top of the side columns but made some chrome covers.
Do you have the front foot rest rail?
Anyway, tell me how much costed you your lunch, road expenses, toll fees and I will get the stove out of you Ford, all that paid in hum, Canadian money

Hmmmm ...Canadian money ? I better check the current exchange rate....... Then again, if Hillary gets in ....... I may take you up on that, or maybe I will just move to Montreal !

Before I went to look at the Sunny, I downloaded all of the pictures of yours to compare it. Everything is there with the exception of the firebowl, and that will be an easy pattern to reproduce for a recast.

IThe footrest on mine is either missing the center section, or it was part of the earlier design. Is your footrest cast like a half of a pipe? I have enough of it to make a full pattern, but I won't know until I blast it to see if the filled in ends were the original casting, or if someone cut out the center section to make it easier to remove the ash pan.

I have to send some other parts out to Tomahawk for recasting, so PM me if you would like me to have the humidifier and the original caps cast for yours.

Paulie

The foot rest rail is a 3 sections and the center one just lift up to acess the ash pan pit. It is not a fully round tube but looks like a **n** shape, the 2 side ones end to the surround base.
By the way, do you have the surround panel? With the surround panel the space for the cup/humidifier is very small on mine, what is the height?
Hope to visit you in your Montréal palace :) soon and have a couple of ...beer in front of that beauty!

Hi all.
When I started this thread, on April 2012, I said that: I was a sad day................... but all was a joke (on the first few posts...).
But heating with the Sunnyside was a really nice adventure and it heated the 3 levels as no one other stoves even came close to the Sunny's efficiency, beauty and ease of operation....
And now it's a sad day again, well in some way. In fact I decided (with the wife's accord) to sell the Sunnyside after 5 perfect heating seasons.
We got a high end heat pump this Summer and it will be able to heat the house around 80% of the Winter time and the rest of the time the electric fan coil will do the job. The other reason is because we will remold the living room and go from antique to modern style.

All I can say is that it was a real pleasure to be with all of you on this nice forum, I learned a lot here. I also tank you very much for the respect you had for my----- Québécois's English and appreciated it
Salutations
Pierre.

Well, nobody knows what the future will be, but I know that selling the stove would put a few $ in my empty poquets
