Breaker in Gilberton

Is there another breaker near Blaschak, owned by Reading Anthracite in Gilberton, or did they buy Blaschak?

I have heard of Gilberto Coal Co. but I have no idea where they are located.

Scott, Bob Burns runs Keystone Anthracite; they are one of the biggest anthracite strip mining companies. I think they are located in Girardville.

The owner was running for congressman and just lost in the primary.

Isn't that the Breaker that was built not too long ago from the Steven Girard Estate $$$ from Philadelphia. I guess the trustees needed a good excuse to tap into the trust fund, so they built a breaker. From what I heard is that it never was run right from the beginning or maybe that was the plan......... acquired by Reading Anthracite? Brian Rich did just run for office.

Yeah Brian Rich (President of Reading Anthracite) just ran for congress. As far as I know Reading Anthracite acquired the Gilberton Breaker built from the Steven Girard Estate.

Well, he must have been giving public tours of the place and the breaker and then took people on buses to a strip mine about 10 miles away. The way my brother-in-law described it, it sounded exactly like the same scenario as Blaschak. Ok, I guess we solved it.

Correction... Reading Anthracite does have the Gilberton Breaker. The Girardville Breaker was built from the Steven Girard estate (makes sense), and now is being run by Reading Anthracite. AS FAR AS I KNOW
