Obama vs. Romney, how the Electoral votes are stacking up

PostBy: lsayre On: Thu May 03, 2012 7:10 pm

Per this projection of State by State Electoral votes it looks like President Obama is a shoe-in to be re-elected. Remember, the popular vote is meaningless (just ask Al Gore). Comments?

I don't doubt it. I don't think Willard has a shot.

The campaign has not really started yet. I can remember when Clinton was in third place.

Romney has just survived the Republican bashing; when the Obama bashing starts it could turn around dramatically. It will turn on just how hard Romney is able and willing to hit him.

Recall when I mentioned that all of the States where Romney is dominating in the Republican primaries will go heavily for President Obama. This map confirms it.

It does nothing, hardly an unbiased source. It is way off too, Ohio has Romney ahead by 2 points this week.

This may clear up a few things. Like how the RNC violates it's own rules to push Romney and how they will likely be undone by their own rules.

Also, here's the website he mentioned on delegate counts.

I just hope the sheep wake the f up by November.

I hold little hope for MA, NY, IL, MD, NJ, & CA, but there's 44 other states in the union, Thank God.

Yeah Smitty, but it takes all 44 of them to overcome the population centers in those 6. :(

There will be more blue states than that but the key states will be places like OH, FL and even PA.

SC, NC and other states with a small electoral could play into it too but if BO gets the three states above, he will pretty much be guaranteed to win.

I just checked in again to the link I posted at the top of this thread, and President Obama still has more than enough electoral votes to win (regardless of the national popular vote trends or eventual 'overall' vote outcome). The Electoral tally currently stands at 281 Obama to 191 Romney, with only 270 required to win. The lesser number of large liberal states are dwarfing the paltry Electoral vote potential of the far greater number of small conservative states.

I just checked again, and Huff-Po has declared Obama to be the landslide winner. They have him garnering well over 300 electoral votes at present, with 270 needed to win. It appears that the swing states are lining up for Obama.

 Leave it to Huff-Po ...

That's exactly what the left wants. They want us all to believe there's no hope. You'll see it on TV & in the paper that the dems have it all sewn up, and how the world loves him and anyone that doesn't want to vote him back in is just a crazy fool.

Lucky for us, we live in reality. ;)
