Good post ceccil. There are more kids like him, lots of them but they just don't seem to get the attention. Seems the media prefers to focus on the bad rather than the good, a local TV station in Erie has a weekly segment called good kids award, the station & a Lawyer give a good kid a bit of notoriety for what they do along with a savings bond.

Got that right Sam. The media does what the media wants. NOT what the rest of us want.

Great post Ceccil! 8-)

I suppose your right. As far as the media is concerned, their in it to make $$$ and death & destruction is what sells.

A coworker of mine comes from Woodhull NY. Just a small town with a pop. of maybe 1000 and most of it is spread out into the sticks. The have a free, small town paper that he used to bring into work that I enjoyed reading. Nothing in there about politics, fires, car wrecks, crime etc. It's all about the town happenings. Articles about the local church, weddings, graduations, Cub Scout projects, dances, church and fire dept fundraisers etc. A far cry from the crap in our paper.

Off topic but if anyone gets out to Woodhull, there is a place called Golden Age Cheese. They have the best cheese curds I have ever had, especially the cajun and jalapeno!!
