Damp and cold here on the coast of Maine. 52° here with a NE wind feels more like 20°. I'd fire the stove up if it weren't all cleaned and neautralized. Damn, I hate burning oil!

We had a low of 48 overnight here in the hills of Sussex county, NJ. I had to close the windows. I actually bumped up the tstat and woke the EFM up for a few minutes this morning. :D

Don't 'put the stove to bed' so early. Nice weather headed your way. 75 this weekend and nice next week. Had enough rain for a few days? Are your feet starting to 'web' yet? 50 here at 06:00. No wind today. :!:

I don't blame you. This kind of cold just eats right through to the bone.

Sure is GREEN everywhere. Woke up at midnight to 'hear' the damned grass growing. So much for the lack of water from no snow melt of this past winter season....

The garage was 78 at 6am, house 70....50 lbs today I'll guess. Saw Home Heating OIl at 3.23 yesterday. Reg Gas at 3.41 in Tilton, NH. Good start. Wonder if Bob in Ft Kent has put away the long johns yet? Ice out up there? He could care less, his K-6 is purring along.......

56* and windy out right now Doug! Supposed to be in the lower 70's over the weekend. The K6 is purring along like you said, but I'll have to shut her down at the end of the week. Going in for surgery next week (hernia). Won't be able to lift the bags for a couple of weeks so I'll be done til September. :(

Can't get the Mrs to do a half bag, Bob? Oh well, you will need some time to heal that repair. Were you 'bench pressing' a moose out of the front seat when it happened? Enjoy the nice weather coming your way.

One question: do you guys measure the black fly size in pounds or Kilograms? ....and mosquitoes: by their wingspan? inches or feet? :eek2:
Looking like the sub that barbequed in Portsmouth/Kittery last week may become an expensive Lawn Ornament! Need something that 'Glows' up on the river? 20 years old and junk.....WOW! No price per pound, but it would be a six digit number per pound.....it would make one heck or a portable generator!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woot: :fear: :eek2: :alone:

It was 47° by me this morning. I've been kicking my oil furnace on too in the mornings.

Also cold here, around 55*F this morning. The bad sides: the Bride (the stove ) is all clean and sleeping and the Vigll is out of the fauxfoyer, so still cold here ;)

Cold here too. When it sits on 48 degrees for 48 hours the house eventually cools down. Seems we didn't use any heat the last half of May, then yesterday it was cold in the house so I tickled the heat for a cycle. Luckily the AA hasn't been shut down for the season.

It was 47* here this Am but that didn't matter as I have the AHS still running. I am glad for the cold temps as I have to wrestle with it less to keep it lit. When temps go back up I will be at it again! I wonder if the colder temps have slowed the grasses growth, I have not had to bring the mower out for almost 15 minutes now!!
