On Tuesday, an overwhelming majority of Wisconsin voters concluded that the complaints against Walker were not enough reason to oust him midterm.

With more than 90 percent of precincts reporting, Walker had nearly 54 percent of the vote, compared with 45 percent for Barrett, according to unofficial returns tabulated by The Associated Press.

"Voters really do want leaders who stand up and make the tough calls," Walker said in his victory speech, to chants of "Thank You Scott."

The cloud of doom for the November elections?

question:

Does he now serve 4 years or just the remaining 2.
I think he should serve 4.

This is not over. They sent in 400 lawyers to find something bad and they will. They will try to indict him now and throw him in prison and if that fails murder him. There is no level that the unions will not go and that means the libtards as well. Understand if we want America back we will have to fight them for it. If we throw da O bum out he will declare Marshall Law over some trumped up war game. Miss Piglet will barricade herself in and chain herself to the ladies toilet in the WH and will bite anybody that tries to move her. This is just the opening move.

Wow... Caught up on some reading on this subject. Unions used to be a great thing, but they too far from reality anymore.Especially state and teachers unions. I consider this a win for taxpayers in Wisconsin.

Don't disagree that the Gov. is no place for Unions & that many have gotten way out of hand but be careful what you wish for. To me it doesn't read like such a great victory, 60 some odd million mostly from out of state to 4 million almost all in state, I guess that's what the voters there want so let them live with it. My guess is he will go wild now, hopefully I'm wrong as I said the Unions need to get back to basics or die but the common man is going to have to wise up as well, odd how Walkers cronies get more & the workers get less, hope they enjoy. The New America a victory is a victory, bought or not.

Sam, it's time for you to move to WI and pay their real estate taxes for a while. When will you get it, there is no money or jobs there. Cheese and beer is not enough to pay these princes. You really have no idea do you. Whoops time for Alinski commie rule number 5 - ridicule. The giant is awake and we are on to the game - took a while.

Good for the people of Wisconson. Sam, it's not about the union working grunts, they get crapped on daily & most don't even realize it. It's the hierarchy that are a bunch of scumbags--fixin is at this point is an impossibility--come up with a new plan that goes back to making the worker a priority on a level playing field. Anthony, you've got that right about the State & Teachers unions. :(

How can the country possibly survive if and when government employees and those who receive handouts outnumber those who produce wealth. Those who produce will be extorted to death.

Unions tend to keep private producers honest whether in a union shop or not. Government unions are the exact opposite.

The money raised and spent for that recall election was ridiculous.

For Walker, something in the neighborhood 66% of the $30.5M he collected, and for Barret 26% of 3.9M came from outside the state.

With the population of the state of Wisconsin (5.71M), each and every person in the state could have received a check for five million dollars and there would still be money left over.

Agree that it seems absurd, but there is a principle involved that justifies the expenditure. Whether public unions should have the freedom to bankrupt the state and country.

You mean $6?

Those numbers are inaccurate because it's just campaign donations. The coverage from the liberal media has to be worth tens a of millions alone.

It's not over for the commie crooks - trust me. They keep going until they get the result they want.

However, the backlash could get interesting.

The Unions, public or private can't bankrupt too many. If it weren't for the management also getting more they would never agree to higher contracts, there just aren't many powerful Unions anymore & the Union Leaders are the same as politicians, bought & paid for. I was Union for the better part of my life & never got much of anything from the Union but just like the FF there is a reason they were formed & they did a lot of good. If it comes down to nobody being able to bargain in good faith how long do you all that work for someone think you will stay the same?

You get what you settle for.

How come you didn't get one of those $100,000 bus driver jobs?

Walker is trying to reign in out of control spending and balance his state's budget. Greedy libs are flopping around like fish on a dock.

This is a great conservative victory. Taste it libs. :D
