It encourages sprawl by creating greenspace (farms etc.) in the middle of otherwise heavily developed areas. If the demand is there, developments will occur elsewhere further from the city center. It also creates a false economy for real estate thereby inflating home prices, increasing infrastructure costs (bigger roads to developments further from the city) and increasing commute times, traffic, and fuel usage. The government's attempt to solve a 'problem' has increased inefficiency thereby creating a myriad of other problems not readily apparent to the average individual.

Dan, thanks for a brilliantly researched expose, I have no clue as to who you did some work for that was such a hard working & deserving individual. In your rush to try & spew your apparent hatred toward me & any other left thinking person you failed to get past that hatred & get the point of why I posted the link. I simply thought that some here might know of some of these places, often the wife & I will be somewhere & see a huge place & she will say (kiddingly) it would be nice to be able to live there but too hard to clean. I'll normally say not to worry, even if given a place that big I couldn't afford the taxes. Guess I was wrong on that part, that's all, nothing sinister meant IMO some people need to lighten up a bit.
I'm sure most extremely wealthy do a lot of good (it's tax deductible :roll:

) like I said I don't know these people, as hard as it may be to believe Forbes & the like & myself don't attend many functions together (& I know he's dead) just curious as to how many functions they have invited their handy men to, did Forbes ever jet you out of the country to attend one of his parties?
A big difference here Dan is that despite your hatred toward me I still respect your right to your opinion, like to see pictures of your well done projects & harbor no ill feelings what so ever towards you or any other conservative thinking person, it's all part of being lucky enough to live in America & having our freedoms.

Next time you dig up a far-left article why don't you take it a step further and read the bio of whatever commie you are quoting? I was invited to many functions my employers held. They were all catered with the finest food and wait staff. I remember having giany slabs of filet mignon carved for me and the other guests in the house kitchen. I dropped $300 for a nice suit to go to one of them.
They also let me stay in their multi-million dollar trophy shore house for days while I prepared it for the summer. The good life.

That's why I can comfortably interact with successful americans instead of hold a deep seated resentment against them like libs do. I don't resent the fact that there are sociological distinctions in our society as much as you do.

OK see ya later I have to put on my work boots and go move 5 tons of topsoil by hand for a "rich guy". I'm selling him my labor in exchange for money so I can buy food and support myself. No liberals will interfere which is why it will be a pleasant day.
