Don't know what the hell it's eating, but we're halfway thru '12 & he's still kickin'! Just took these last night ...

Insects!!! He's eating insects! Helping to keep the place neat. Looks more like a toad, but what's the difference.

I have at least 1 in my cellar too, he's smaller. I have some cave crickets hanging around on the wall near the boiler, never saw those here before. They eat insects too, that's why I didn't suck them up in the shop vac.

Better watchout he might grow really big and attack you one day when your tending the stove

Or maybe it is an endagered species and agents will be swarming your house for keeping it captive

Yeah, I fully expect the latter, living in this state. My property is basically a vernal pool ... but don't tell the feds that or I won't be able to mow anymore.

Attack frog! :woot:

Frogs live in water, toads don't. :D ;)

Yeah plenty of bugs down there, that's for sure. Mostly spiders. There's a ring-necked snake living in the opposite corner of the basement, but he's too small to munch the frog.

Smitty, he needs a better name than basement frog.

Seems they have quite a long lifespan, needs a name if it's going to be around a for a while. LOL

Smitty,

I think that he is one of the retired Budweiser frogs. Figured your basement was the best retirement home around.......

You may be onto something there, it's the most logical explanation.

The French LOVE those legs ...in butter. However, have you notified the Frog Preservation Society of the location and history of your frog? It might be endangered....might require you to move from it's habitat......provide a special fenced in area....you know the deal....THIS is serious!!

Hmmmm, how long is the "wheeled toilet" thread? Something like that should be good for at least a hundred pages.

The tree-huggin' pixies are afraid of the neighborhood, so no one is gonna find out about my basement habitat. :D I ain't going nowhere!

Yeah, there's plenty to drink here. :woot: So that explains this "EERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!" sound that's been coming from down there. Thought it was the boiler. Now I know which one he is!

So that's where the other frog went! Plenty of mice, snakes, & spiders down there too, so eatin' is good. He's swimming in our dirty laundry water!

Might have ate this guy too!
