Seeing this Sandusky character on TV he came across as being very weird. It is not hard to believe that he was found guilty of almost everything he was charged with.

A guy that was a school teacher, also a boy scout master and a decorated community activist was also convicted of similar charges after he retired. He was a teacher from the school which from I graduated, he was actually one of my teachers! I couldn't believe the things he was accused of and convicted of.. its like the ones you would never expect to be the monster, are the monster, its crazy!!

I understand your frustration but the fact is these people seek out these jobs where they will have access to children.

No arguement. Just saying that for the 98 honest, trustworthy people--those two scum bags cast quite a shadow over the whole shootin match. :(

Another effect is that teachers and coaches will have to be extra careful to not show any affection toward those they are in charge of lest it be misunderstood. Both will lose out. The job will have less satisfaction and appeal and the student will have less inspiration to do better. Both become drones when deprived of any emotion.

Bronson Alcott (father of Louisa May) lost out on the school he started because he had the effrontery to believe sex education should be taught. This was in the 1840s. Gifted teachers like B. Alcott are bound to be hurt as well as their students because of this swine who could not control himself.

Here's the latest on the Sandusky investigation, could be political or maybe just trying to find out exactly what went on to allow it to continue. In either event it doesn't sound like an adult thing to do, if it were to be along party line then the con's have the majority (I think) so what's the big deal other than to have how you voted made public?

Sam,

The republicans just said we have a majority and we're not going to bring it up.
When and if the democrats get a majority they can bring it up. No mystery.
Like dirty harry with the US senate. I'm in charge, you can all go *censored* yourselves.

The proper protocol is that if a viable bill is brought up with backing then it goes to the floor to be voted either up or down, if down then it's done with unless it's rewritten with changes & resubmitted. Just like on the Fed level they have voted on the same thing over 30 times. Who wouldn't want to know the whats & whys things weren't done to at the very least remove Sandusky from easy access to young boys & prevent some from being abused? Take away the political thing for awhile & think about what is the right thing to do, do you do a proper investigation or do you possibly allow someone that could have done something to stop it to walk. All for the sake of a football program.

Sam,

In the end, they will find out what happened and my guess is that
the football program had nothing to do with it. The money that
the second mile charity passed around had everything to do with it.
Vote to adjourn. Second. all in favor say I, all apposed no. I's have it.

Then your in favor of letting someone go scott free rather than investigating because of who they are or what position they hold or did I misunderstand?

Sure won't disagree about tool gate ED being a skunk but Corbett was the AG under Rendell, took a big campaign donation from Sandusky & then gave a big grant to Sandusky's non profit, paid him back with our money while on the board at PS.
