Ed, I don't know what you were trying to get at with that link. That was all about the Rep. nominations, if you recall there was very little policy promise presented except for Paul (who hardly got to talk) it was just bashing one another to try to make people think there was a choice other than Romney. This time around Romney didn't invest any of his own money & I don't believe he has yet, he was the bought one which is the way it is now. We have allowed big money to take over, they have for most if not all of our lives but now they can do it up front like in the old days when the rich were depicted handing the politician a bag of money. The only hope back then was that some politician would throw a common man a few bucks or at least get him drunk to buy his vote, now a days that's even gone & our vote don't matter much the country isn't run by the sham in DC.

Come on Sam, politicians as a whole have been nothing but figureheads for eons--same *censored*, different people spewing their false promises. Same divide & conquer concept's been going on forever--it's just more prevalent thanks to this cyber crap.

Fred, I thought that was pretty much what I said, except that we used to get some crumbs if you were in the right place at the right time. I recall as a young lad being in a local bar that pretty much served anyone, a guy running for some kind of office stopped by & bought for hours being the day before election. It was an up side for us but kind of a downer for him, out of 15 to 20 people there were two old enough to vote, three if you count the bartender.

Dan, don't know which is true but I always tend to dig a little deeper & this one goes back to the Clinton era. Seems to me most other countries that come to mind would just say to hell with them or maybe they don't have as eager of a media but in any event.
