I sound terrible talking LOL. Here's another one, skip to about 3:45 if you want the grand finale. She got a "tie" for first for this performance, it was talent contest and the criticism was she didn't move enough. The other contestants wouldn't even be able to touch this song and I'm pretty sure Whitney Houston didn't dance around on stage when she performed it.

She should do the Super Bowl. She actually knew the words to Star Spangled Banner. Makes an Uncle proud don't it. ;)

Reminds me of Christina Aguilera when she was young & singing in church. She didn't move much as I recall but it turned out OK for her.

Good for her. Amazing these angelic voices that some of these kids have. I forgot my lines in the 7th grade play and stood there frozen in front of the whole school. I was so humiliated I never set foot on a stage again :P

In a school play in 4th grade about Davey Crockett, they didn't even give me any lines. I was a tree. I done real well & realized at that point that the stage was not my forte'. toothy

Well it was a very big disappointment to see her lose that contest because of that especially considering it's not a dancing song. I don't want to take anything away from the other girl but as far as singing ability that person couldn't perform this song if they wanted too at least if they wanted to keep it faithful to Houston's version. I guess one of the judges was an elderly former dance instructor and for that part of the act the other girl performed very well.
