I have learned so much here on the forum I have never met a group of people that were so helpful to those of us that want to use coal for heating. One thing though William if it wasn't for you and your YouTube videos I don't know If I would've ever went this route. There is a Glenwood #6 Baseburner that has a new home and new life because of you and of course Doug at BarnStable Stove.

Thank You Chad!!! :D Yes, Doug said it was going to be crated this afternoon to go to the shipper in the morning. :) I'm ready for it to get here. Got the hearth ready. All I need is it to be here for me to measure for new 22 gauge welded stovepipe.

Jason,

That looks super! Really nice. best of luck with it. I have just received the nickel trim back myself, for my Modern Oak 116 which is quite similar to yours stove. Mine doesn't have the boot rails on the bottom and but similar skirts on the top and bottom which you'll see on the restoration post. You'll find that these rings and shirt work wonders (I'm told) to circulate the heat out from the stove.

Well, I promised pictures and here are a few for now. I made these with my phone as I'll have to wait until my wife gets back home later this evening to make better ones with the real camera. I feel like a kid at Christmas. :D I am in awe of this stove. I can't wait for cooler weather. :)

Looks like Doug did a great job for you. Welcome to coal stove easy street. Where is that, in your basement? I have mine right in the living room where everyone can see it (and feel it) when they come in. :D

Yes, Doug did a great job. Unfortunately yes it is my basement. I am working to get the basement finished so I can have people down there to see it more. I'll be showing it off to everyone no matter where it I though.

Yes the stove looks very nice. Yes these antique stoves become instantly the "eyes catcher" (not shure of the expression?) in a house. Just try to have the house's main entrance direct to the basement :) . Just a few days ...and you will enjoy all what that stove can give to you and your family/friends. Hard to find a better satisfaction
Doug made a very nice restoration on the stove.

Don't worry about the basement, if you keep it warm, they will come. :)
