Kevin, Penske trucks been targets since we used to run to Tenn. & Alabama & fill up with pot & bring it back to Penna in the 60's & 70's. Give me some facts??? Well Fred, I think you said it all when you admitted to running pot and somehow make me out to be 1) young and ignorant. 2) fanatical 3) something about riot and inflated ego's 4) being part of a problem.

I am over 50 and quite frankly you can kiss my ass. I am tired of your old homey my friend statement and superiority because you are a little older then some. I guess that speaks to the young and ignorant also. Fanatical? I guess that describes you when you blather on about how tough you are and no one is taking your guns and you take care of things etc. I cant answer the nonsensical part. I am working to remove myself from an area I feel is part of the problem. As to personal profiles, you seem to care a whole bunch while no one else does. What business is it of yours?
I got stopped trying to pass a weigh station and the guy came on strong. I stood up for myself and was told to move along. I am not a commercial driver, I was driving a rented truck. I am not responsible for its upkeep or registration. I am not subject to logbook rules. My cargo can only be searched with a search warrant. Unless my rights have been removed because I rented a truck. enough info for ya???

I am leaving for Tenn. in a couple of weeks with my non-commercial pickup truck with tonnau cover and a 14 ft. box trailer full of my tools. I am not stopping at any weigh station and if I am waylaid, no one is looking in my truck or trailer without a search warrant. Is it wise to demand your rights? Is it wise to give them up? I have had many friends tell me to just go with the flow. That is the first step towards a police state and you know it. I have learned in my few years on earth, according to you, that the cops of all kinds will tell you anything to pinch you. My brother was told as much at an ethics class. It is alright for law enforcement to lie to catch you and it has been validated by the SC. You do what you like, I'll demand my rights.

I guess the point here would be, nobody likes being told what they already know about themselves. You know after re-reading these posts, I can't see where any of them were directed specifically at you. BUT, blowin off some steam sure can feel good my friend--whoops, that right, you don't like me useing that. Area's aren't part of problems, the people in them usually are. No matter where we go, there we are. Me thinks your brother & I were in way different ethics classes.

Comply with LAWFUL orders yes, not unlawful orders. As you can see these checkpoints are SEARCHES, they look in you vehicle, walk around, ask questions without ANY reasonable suspicion of any wrongdoing.

Law and order is safe without the need for checkpoints ...

And you have no DUTY to assist the police with anything ... in fact, any interaction a person has with police results in a certain amount of risk of losing your freedom.

They had NO legal right to run his plate ....

I had a cop come to my door investigating some youthful graffiti that happened days before ... I did not answer any of the cop's inquiries but told him to get off my land immediately.

He went on to explain how he was doing his job investigating a crime yada yada yada. When he got done, I asked him if he was refusing my command to leave my property ... he left right away.

Anytime you interact with the police, that interaction could be used against you in court. Best to have zero interaction - for any reason.

Being "mouthy" is perfectly accepted by our 1st amendment -- one should not expect people in this country to be yes, sir no, sir with every police interaction.

Nobody forced the cops to take that job; if they minded it too much, they would quit and get other jobs....so the cops don't seem to mind

Just my thoughts, but aside from the video being staged, I'm amazed at some of the responses I'm reading here. I guess you're right. The hell with co-operating with law enforcement, they obviously are the bad guys & the world would run much smoother without them. We should have no laws or rules because we are a society of such caring people that would never do anything that could be considered detrimental to anothers existence. Once again, I think it's been done, I'm left speechless. Can't wait for the next Trooper to show up here on the farm & ask me anything about a crime he is investigating so I can throw his ass off my property. As far as that 1st amendment, I guess I've been misunderstanding it's meaning for a real long time PS--much work starting on the GW Bridge--many delays--BS--we all know it is a conspiracy to have our constitutional rights once again infringed upon. No friggin cop better tell me to get into another lane while walking around my truck!!! I know what he's up to.

Heck, I wouldn't have believed it but I'm guessing my parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles were all part of a plot to misinform me & be polite to people. Wait until the next opportunity comes along for me to open a door for a little old lady with a walker, I'll just say I know my rights open it yourself you old hag. It will truely be a Proud to be an American moment.
