GM- Government Motors

PostBy: plumb-r On: Mon Jul 16, 2012 11:07 pm

In June, General Motors posted the best month since Sept. 2008. What they don't want you to know is that Government purchases of GM cars rose 79% in June. I wonder if we get the bail out discount? Also for those of you that think GM has paid back tarp money, they still have 25 BILLION to pay back. :o

Still trying to figure out how they developed that warped line of thought. Maybe it was the brown acid? :gee:

... and being $60B in the hole to us it is so great to learn that the $400MM we threw at Peugeot at a time when everyone else seemed to know it was a lost cause is also now officially in the toilet too. With one wrinkle,. The PM of France won't let us fire the generally useless over there so we have to keep paying.. and paying. Another democrap wonder deal. The GM financial advisers on that deal were hired from the Scranton management team. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

And lest we forget the Fisker deal.

http://money.cnn.com/2012/02/06/autos/f ... _car_loan/

Fisker Automotive, the electric car company that received $528 million in Energy Department loan guarantees, announced layoffs at its Delaware production facility on Monday.

Only half a billion to ship jobs out of the country? A bargain at half the price! :)

I'm sure Obama and Job Czar Immelt are high fiving right now.

GM Goiong Bankrupt Again?

PostBy: Wood'nCoal On: Sat Aug 18, 2012 9:09 pm

I heard about it on Andrew Wilkow's show. Did you think after the bailout everything would be fine? GM has continued to build cars nobody wants, continued the same relationship with the unions, has changed nothing other then to build the Volt, which NOBODY wants!

http://www.forbes.com/sites/louiswoodhi ... tcy-again/

They are going to need another bailout, on our tab. The government (Obama) should have let GM go through bankruptcy like any other company. GM's share of the market in the 1960's-around 45%. Their share today? 18%

When I heard this I was driving and looked around. Practically every car and truck around me was foreign, with a few Fords and Chrysler products sprinkled in, not many GM vehicles. I think they are done.

I'm the minority now, driving an American made vehicle. People get better value and warrantees buying a Honda or Toyota, or even a Hyundai.

As for me, I'm sticking with Ford, they didn't take bailout money and they are producing decent vehicles.

GM's sales of cars and trucks to people with very low FICO scores are soaring. The success will be only temporary.

Yep - bailout #2 right around the corner. I think a steamy pile of #2 would smell much better than the deal the American people are getting ....

Just LET THEM DIE DAMMIT!! Complex, unreliable, EXPENSIVE pieces of *censored* they produce anyway.

I have always driven Caddy's since the mid 1980's. Not the new one's mind you. The good ones. The first one I had was a 65 Fleetwood. Drove it for years and then got a 62 hard top convertible Sedan De ville. It was white with apple red leather interior. I loved that car. I sold it to my dad to keep it for me until I finished college. He sold it and never told me what he got for it. I also had a 65 Buick Electra Custom. That car was another beauty and it could really roll.
The best was a 53 Buick Road Master Convertible that my dad had. Those were GM cars. GM no longer exists. I will never drive another one, ever. Like all the other great things that we once had, they are gone. It will be Ford from now on.

If Big O had let Gm die off, the GM that is part of America's manufacturing backbone, a really important asset for the country to possess, then all you crybaby republicans would be pissing yerselves that Prez. O does not have the skills to revive a troubled company, which he in fact very skillfully accomplished, unlike "Gut and kick in the Butt" romney, who only can strip viable companies to suck out the profit for himself, and chosen few investors. suckers. is romney dragging down gop, or is gop dragging down romney? chickens for checkups, gop so laughable. legitimate rape, more gop mind set, criminal minds.
