Who burns "other then coal" in there EFM?

Hope all you guys are having a nice summer, I for one can not wait until this hot soup like weather is long gone! That said I am getting things ready for heating season and wondered if anyone out there has burned fruit pits in there EFM or any other stoker? A coal place near me sells them (kiln dried) for $149.00 a ton and I was thinking of going that rout if they would work. BTU out put is around 9.5K a pound which of course is less then coal but ash content is around 1 % or less.

Thanks,
Glenn
