My thoughts on Alternative Energy subsidy by the Government

I guess that's all up to the individual, I only watch the Steelers & the Super Bowl, wouldn't go to watch them in person & even then I miss games because we don't get them in my area so in reality I could care less. Years ago I had a bunch of Steelers come to our Blue & gold Scout Banquet & spend the whole evening playing with the kids, all it cost us was they asked if they could eat. I don't kid myself in thinking that would happen today but it did then.

Call Exxon evil and you rally the base. Call sports super-heroes evil, and you risk a revolution from the same base. Could this be the one and only crisis that the Democrats (and also the Republicans) are letting go to waste? After all, we could all be taxed more to support alternative energy if we gave up our TV's and stopped all means of patronizing sporting figures and events.

Heck the way it's going we might be better off with athletes in DC, let them have even sides & Ref's & have at it over the issues. The treasury could get the money from TV rights & Congressional bobble heads which we have plenty of already.
